BIG Boy!...

Well, our baby is gigantic in the world of 2 year olds...

We took Mack to the doctor for a check up at the end of last week.  He is in the 95th percentile for height and weight - he is 36 inches tall and weighs 35 pounds! No wonder I experience severe low back pain at times!  He continues to be absolutely amazing.  Trying at times - but the good far outweigh the bad. ;)  He is beginning to sing songs...this is so cute.  He sings Itsy Bitsy Spider and Old McDonald.  My favorite is when I put him to bed and he holds my face in his hands and sings Twinkle Twinkle to me...my heart melts EVERY time!

We have taken a liking to the movie Toy Story.  Mack says, "lets watch WoodyBuzzLightyear!" (haha) He attempts to say, "to infinity and beyond!"... this took a little time for me to decipher.

The kindergarten classes at my school incubated and hatched duck eggs.  I brought them home for us to duck-sit for a night.  This was so much fun for Mack!  They are adorable! :)

San Diego Zoo

We enjoyed a 2-day vacay to San Diego.  We arrived on Wednesday afternoon.  We walked around a bit and then had dinner near the ocean.  Thursday was our big day at the zoo.  We made a whole day of it - we arrived at 9:30 and stayed until 6:00.  What a fun experience with Mack!  He was fascinated by all of the animals.  He kept saying "one more animal!" :)

Mack got tired around 1:30 and just fell asleep in his little cart.  Scott and I took this opportunity to sit and relax for about an hour, enjoying the great weather and each others company.  Mack was ready to continue our zoo adventure after his nap...

Mission Beach

On Friday, we spent the morning and early afternoon at Mission Beach in San Diego.  We love, love, love spending time at the beach.  We had a great breakfast, played in the sand, and biked along the ocean.  Mack loved digging in the sand and running from the waves.  We rented bikes for a couple hours and rode along the beach...this was an adventure that the whole family enjoyed!

We made it!

It is finally spring break!  We have been looking forward to this week off for awhile!!  We look forward to lounging at home, making trips to the park, being lazy, hanging out with friends, and hopefully a visit to the San Diego Zoo.  :)  We are enjoying our nice weather and are in a relaxed frame of mind.  We hope all of you are doing good! :)

Mack and his Buddy...

...This was one of Scott's childhood favorites that has been passed on to Mack.  Mack likes to ride bikes with Buddy.  It freaks me out a little (okay a lot!) but at the same time I guess it is cute to see him play with his 'friend'.
