We have had a busy couple weeks. We flew to Iowa for a visit to the farm. We had a great time and it was so nice to spend time with our family! Mack was well spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa Graves...so were Scott and I for that matter! Thanks Mom & Dad, you are the best!!
Mack has continued to be VERY helpful...
Today was the BEST!! We went to church this morning then we all took a nap when we got home. We had lunch and then hung out on the floor playing with Mack and watching TV all day! I love my husband and son so much!
I go back to school tomorrow and jump back into the routine, wish me luck.

First steps!!
Grandma Laura and Loren came to see us earlier this month! It was so nice to have our family visit. We enjoyed shopping and walking and good meals together. Mack enjoyed the extra attention - he really hammed it up! :) He closed the weekend with some major excitement - he took his first steps (1/18/10)!! Grandma bought him some new shoes over the weekend and it looks like he is going to need them!
Mack has been VERY helpful and likes to be part of everything...including the household chores! ... (He climbed up as I turned to put a couple glasses in the cupboard)
**(I tried to upload video...w/ no success - I am not giving up)**
Any help is welcome.

He has his very own drawer in the kitchen filled w/ cups, snacks, and a few surprises. Tonight he decided to hop in for a closer look. ;)

Here are some other pics from this afternoon...
Ornery Mack...
BIG blue eyes...
Touchdown! (getting ready for Super Bowl Sunday)...

He is so much fun right now. He says...
"Go, go, go" all day long (usually when he gets up to walk)
"nigh, nigh" and waves to his dad when I put him to bed
"gu gir" (good girl) - this is what we say to our dogs when they are behaving :)
"bye, bye" and waves when we leave
...and he loves to 'dance' to any music.
I am on track break for the next 2 weeks and am so excited!

Happy New Year!
We are mostly settled into our new location - and loving it! We have more space and are in a much nicer neighborhood. All in all everything has gone very smoothly - a little miscommunication w/ our power company delayed the transfer of utilities. Thanks to Anna that was no problem - Thanks Anna!! Yesterday we got Mack's one year pictures and he is so stinking adorable! Grandma Laura gave us a tux that was perfect for this special occasion...see for yourself.
Mack went to bed around 6:30 tonight and is sleeping soundly. Scott and I are watching TV and hoping to stay awake to ring in the new year. We have a few more days of vacation and plan to spend it relaxing together and enjoying time with friends. Happy New Year!
(Please post a comment when you have time - we love to read them!)

Date night
Last night Scott and I went out on the town.
We went to Treasure Island to see Mystere. We had dinner, went to the show, gambled a little (made a donation) and enjoyed our time together. Mystere was very entertaining, the end was a little weird...a giant psychedelic snail came out on stage??? We have discovered that Vegas shows may not be for us but it was really nice to get dressed up and go out.
Thanks to the McGill's for keeping Mack - we really appreciate it!!

Here goes...
I have decided to enter the blogging world and am very excited! This will eventually replace Mack's babysite and will become the Murdock family update. Our blog works the same as the babysite - you can read what is new and post comments (Scott and I love and appreciate your comments). I had planned to start with the new year of 2010, but decided to start a little early. We have a very eventful winter break ahead of us and I will be able to update frequently during the next 2 weeks. Check back soon...
I am not sure if Mack will be able to wait unil Friday.
He is scouting out the packages he likes.
